High Pull, Power Snatch - Ground, & Front Squat

The exercises mentioned in the title were our focus today.  Front Squat will not be shown in the video today due to my review and realizing a small wardrobe malfunction :)   If anyone out there has a direct line to Mother Nature ask her to let up on this rain please!  Enjoy!

Day 2 of our 3 week Barbell Focus

Day 2 – lifts we will focus on are:   Barbell Snatch, Overhead Military Press, Bench Press, Closed Grip Push ups, and finished up early so we added Barbell Front Raise. 

Overall the “practice” of these lifts are going well.  I’m anxious to get more familiar with them so we can add more weight.  Before adding weight Jovick ensures I am not only familiar, but comfortable and technical with all the lifts.  Safety First - you can't get stronger if you are on the sidelines with an injury.

Next 3 weeks will be different with a new focus

I hope everyone had a great Easter - I ate way too much food and I paid for it last night - not a great night sleep!  Today you will hear (and see) Jovick taking me through 4 specific lifts:  Jump Shrug, RDL's, RDL into Bent over Row, and barbell bicep curls.  As he mentions in the video we are heading into a 3 week strength focus.  Now that I have a base built I am ready to go into something like this looking for large gains in strength over the next 3 weeks.  Gotta be honest - I can't wait to put together the Before and After video.
